portopotty row at sports fields

About Sportopotty

Hi – I’m Jerry!

I'm just a former scout leader, coach and sports dad who over the years of shuttling my kids to games, practices, tournaments, clinics, camps or anywhere else they needed to go had an idea after realizing that a portion of the banter between families was around – bathrooms.

See if this story sounds familiar … It's 6:45 AM on a Saturday. You drink your coffee, rush to get ready; pack the cooler, make the food, grab the lucky gear you hope your kid is supposed to remember, and then load up your vehicle and announce you leave in ten minutes, but really its 15 minutes and once you get on the road realize someone has to go “potty”. Then the familiar wave of panic hits: "What is the bathroom situation going to be at the field?"

Every sport parent has been burned by this, the group texts between families starts once the first person is there and someone is always left off. You hope the beautiful turf complex with the restrooms isn’t locked tight, you see a row of porta-potties baking in the sun and had wished you stopped at the gas-station on the way vs missing a few minutes of game time.

Sportopotty is the fix: a crowd-sourced scouting report for bathrooms at sports fields, parks, and nearby businesses, fueled entirely by parents on the sidelines. The intel is fresh, raw, and brutally honest.
